I bring 15 years of senior leadership experience, including five as a Managing Director of an SME where I was brought in to fix performance, culture, and capability.

From 2020 to 2025, I led a full business reset at IMI Ltd. We rebuilt the senior team, doubled revenue from £1.7m to £3.8m, strengthened delivery, and most importantly embedded a culture of clarity, accountability, development, and execution.

In 2025, I led the business through a successful external investment process. We improved valuation, stabilised leadership, and proved a strong culture and performance go hand in hand.

I’ve led through complexity, made tough calls, and seen first-hand what separates average leadership from leadership that truly delivers.

Why I started Built to Lead

I started Built to Lead because i’ve lived the pressure of leadership. As a Managing Director I carried the weight… Resetting the standards, rebuilding capability, and turning around a business that had lost clarity and confidence.

Unlike founder MD’s, I was a non-shareholder. This meant I was responsible for culture, people, performance, and results, while operating under full board and shareholder scrutiny.

What I learned is this: leadership isn’t about titles or charisma, it’s about clarity, accountability, values, and the courage to face what others ignore.

Built to Lead exists to support the kind of leaders who carry immense responsibility, often alone. Not with theory. With practical, honest, real-world leadership support that build capability, confidence and performance.

I also consider non-executive board roles, particularly where strategic clarity, culture and leadership development are on the agenda.
